Newly Green Material in the 21th century—basalt

Basalt as the green material in the 21th century, is widely used in the building, Road, and so on project. Except the basalt stone, products that use the basalt as raw material, such as the basalt fiber roving.

Basalt fiber roving , Which use the natural volcano spewed rock as the raw material, put in the furnace after chopped,  melt in 1450—1500℃ ,then go through the platinum rhodium to get the continuous fiber .

Thanks to the high module/strength, shock resistance, high temperature resistance, especially boundary that combine with the resin have high bonding strength, basalt roving can be used for winding, weaving and knitting kinds of composites prefab products.

Enclosed the popular application field as reference:

1.       Winding pipe, tank, gas cylinders.

2.       Knitting kinds of cloth, geotextile.

3.       Repairing and consolidating of building, thermostability chopped strands roving of SMC, BMC, DMC, chopped strands for road construction.

4.       Used as resin composite reinforcement material etc..
